Description

This work was developed to characterize the ecological status of different Small Hydroelectric Powerplants located in the Douro (Terragido, Varosa, Cabrum, Sordo) and Minho (Labruja) basins. The monitoring of rivers was made considering the abiotic (chemical and physical water parameters, hydromorphological habitat characterization) and biotic (plants, invertebrate and fish communities) features.
