  • Food quality and innovation: Creation of new functional products innovative products, aiming for sustainability (zero waste), quality safety
  • Phytotherapy: development of natural products from alternative sources promoting health and a diversified diet through their consumption
  • Characterization of beehive products, quality control and their applicability validating the creation of new products
  • Chemistry of Natural Products: Extraction and identification of compounds in natural materials
  • Nutraceuticals and functional foods: development of nutraceuticals and innovative food formulations with functional properties
  • Natural Products Technology: Emerging technologies for preserving of food matrices; natural additives; valorization of bio-waste
