FROM NATURE TO PRODUCTS, TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY.

World Bee Day: come and celebrate by identifying the diversity of wild bees!

There are over 700 bee species in Portugal. How many do you know, apart from the honey bee?
On World Bee Day come and learn to identify these pollinators that are essential to the balance of ecosystems and food production.
We will teach how to identify and distinguish bee families under the magnifying glass.
There will also be a field trip in which you will have the opportunity to appreciate the great diversity of bees in the area of the Fervença River.
We will teach you how to identify the specimens collected, with guidance from entomologist Mónica Doblas-Bajo (University of Léon).
