CIMO-IPB thanks the great organization of the 7th PYCheM

The 7th Portuguese Young Chemists Meeting (PYCheM) organized by the Young Chemists Group (GQJ) of the Portuguese Chemical Society (SPQ) took place online, from May 19 to 21, 2021. The meeting was initially scheduled to be held in May 2020 in Bragança, but was postponed due to the pandemic situation. Despite this, the scientific quality of the 7th PYCheM was outstanding and had several internationally recognized personalities among the guests. There was room for 2 plenary lectures, 10 invited lectures, 39 oral presentations and more than 147 panel presentations, distributed over 6 sessions dedicated to the various areas of Chemistry. Neil Champness from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and Paulo Ferreira from the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, Portugal, were the invited plenary speakers. The Organizing Committee (made up of GQJ and Mountain Research Center members) thanks the support of the Scientific Commission and the SPQ Secretariat and all the speakers and participants from 11 countries who allowed the PYCheM to be held in extraordinary conditions, but with the quality that has been characterizing the meeting. The Organizing Committee and the GQJ leave the invitation to visit Bragança in the near future and for the 8th PYCheM that will take place in 2023 in Vila Real. Thank you for your participation!
