ChestWine, a product developed by a team of researchers from CIMO-IPB, is the winner of the Born from Knowledge (BfK) award, awarded by the National Agency for Innovation (ANI), under the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Credit Agricultural Award (PEICA).
The project, which accumulated BfK with PEICA in the “Production, Transformation and Marketing” category, uses chestnut blossom as a natural preservative free of wine toxicity, creating an alternative to added sulfites and providing the consumer with a biodynamic, differentiated wine, safe and bearer of bioactive properties.
