On October 19, 2024, CIMO-IPB researcher Mónia Andreia Rodrigues Martins was awarded a research grant provided by Green Chemistry for Life, a joint program from UNESCO, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), and the PhosAgro Group. The award ceremony occurred in Beijing, China, as part of the 10th IUPAC International Conference on Green Chemistry. Her project focuses on enhancing the bioavailability of artemisinin, a crucial compound used in malaria treatment, by utilizing natural excipients.
