Workshop SUSTAINABILITY AND INNOVATION: (re)inventing the agro-industrial sector

On the 3rd of March 2023, the Workshop SUSTENTABILIDADE E INOVAÇÃO: (re)inventar o setor agroindustrial (https://esa.ipb.pt/workshop-sustentabilidade-inovacao/index.html) will be held, in the Salão Nobre of Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto. This workshop is organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and the University of Porto, jointly with the co-promoters of the R&DT mobilizing project “BIOma – Integrated BIOeconomy Solutions for the Mobilization of the Agrofood chain”. This project brings together a broad consortium of 24 national entities inserted in the agri-food sector, with the aim of repositioning companies in the agri-food value chain at more competitive and sustainable levels. The main objective of the workshop is to bring together representatives of large companies in the agri-food sector and create a space for debate subordinated to sustainability and innovation in the sector, open to the business and scientific community. Additionally, it intends to share and disseminate the results and developments achieved throughout the BIOMA project. This workshop is, therefore, an invitation so that, together with the scientific community and the panel of specialists in the area present, we reflect on this topic of common interest.
