The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has awarded EUR 500 000 grants for continued development and update of the Pathogens-in-Foods (PIF) database (
https://fsqa.esa.ipb.pt/overview/) for the next four years.
Earlier supported by Anses (France;
https://www.anses.fr/), PIF was constructed by CIMO researchers (Ursula Gonzales Barron and Vasco Cadavez) to facilitate access, visualisation and assessment of data on the occurrence of pathogens in foods produced, commercialised and/or consumed in Europe.
