Isabel Carvalhais, Member of the European Parliament, has visited, together with the Secretary of State for the Regional Development, Isabel Ferreira, the CIMO-IPB (Centro de Investigação de Montanha – Instituto Politécnico de Bragança) to get to know two important research projects for the agriculture and forestry sectors: DICTIS and SAFe. DICTIS is a biological product developed to treat the chestnut tree blight, and the SAFe project is devoted to implementing innovative monitoring operations to minimize forest fires. Both projects are already in the implementation phase. The visit was associated with the “ConVIDA Território” program that went to the territory of Trás-os-Montes - municipality of Bragança, to accompany the visit, which also accounted with the participation of the CIMO-IPB Coordinator, José Alberto Pereira.
