On May 19, at 3PM, it will take place in the Alcínio Miguel Auditorium (ESTiG-IPB) the session "Portuguese Pact for Plastics Masterclass". This is a collaborative initiative that unites different actors of the national plastics value chain, with a common vision - the creation of a circular economy for plastics in Portugal, where they never become waste or pollution.
The Portuguese Pact for Plastics (www.pactoplasticos.pt ) is an initiative led by the Smart Waste Portugal Association, and belongs to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's International Network of Pacts for Plastics. It is a collaborative initiative, which unites different actors of the national plastics value chain, with a common vision - the creation of a circular economy for plastics in Portugal, where plastics are never converted into waste or pollution. To achieve this vision, the more than 100 member entities commit to achieve five ambitious goals by 2025, in order to promote the transition to a circular economy for plastics in Portugal. This initiative has the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic, and the institutional support of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action; Ministry of Economy and Digital Transition; and Ministry of Sea.
In the session "Portuguese Pact for Plastics Masterclass" representatives of the initiative will present the goals of the initiative, the progress achieved, and how this collaboration is enabling the acceleration of the transition to a circular economy.
