The team formed by Ana Geraldes, researcher at the Mountain Research Center (CIMO-IPB), Flora Silva, (ESTiG - IPB) and Cristina Calheiros (CIIMAR-UP) of the University of Porto, won the Environmental category of the HidroDinâmic@s Ideas Contest, organized by Ciência Viva - National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture in partnership with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Águas do Tejo Atlântico.
The event took place at the Pavilion of Knowledge in Lisbon on March 22, 2022, where the World Water Day was celebrated.
The awarded Idea had the support of CIMO-IPB, Centro Ciência Viva de Bragança (CCVB), Associação Nacional de Coveruras Verdes (ANCV) and Centro de Monitorização e Interpretação Ambiental (CMIA) of Vila do Conde.
With this Idea/Project, we intend to explore the functioning and functions of green roofs in water management, with the construction of a prototype for experimental and interactive activities, to be held in the IPB.
