The Consortium of Agricultural Science Schools (CECA), comprising the Higher Institute of Agronomy (ISA) of the University of Lisbon, the University of Évora (UE), the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) and the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), announces a call for the award of 20 Doctoral Research Grants in the area of Agricultural Sciences, under the FCT Research Grant Regulations (RBI) and the Research Grant Holder Statute (EBI). The grants will be funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) under the Collaboration Protocol signed between FCT and the Consortium of Schools of Agricultural Sciences (CECA), within the scope of the LP Science Centre, Category 2 Centre, under the auspices of UNESCO.
Nationals of Portuguese-speaking African countries or East Timor may apply to this call.
To apply for a Doctoral Research Grant, under the scope of this Notice, it is necessary to:
- Hold a degree (with a minimum five-year degree) or a master's degree in the areas of Agricultural, Agricultural, Food, Forestry, Animal Sciences and/or Engineering, Veterinary Medicine or in science and/or engineering areas considered to be related;
- Not to have benefited from a PhD or in-company PhD grant directly funded by FCT, regardless of its duration;
- Not hold a PhD degree.
