Portuguese Plastic Pact's first anniversary
This week marks the Portuguese Plastic Pact's first anniversary, in which CIMO-IPB participates. The Portuguese Plastic Pact aims to end plastic waste by transitioning to a circular economy, where plastic is used sustainably, ensuring that it remains far from natural ecosystems. The approximately 50 participating companies and organizations also intend to reach 2025 with all the new plastic manufactured incorporating 30 % recycled and 70 percent of the used packaging to be made with recycled plastic. The benefits of belonging to this Pact include the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's global Pact for Plastics network and access to an exclusive platform for exchanging knowledge, learning and best practices with other Plastic Pacts worldwide.
