CIMO-IPB researcher awarded with the PhD Award in Ecology – Amadeu Dias Foudation – SPECO – 2020 Edition

CIMO-IPB researcher, Jacinto Benhadi Marín, was awarded with the PhD Award in Ecology – Amadeu Dias Foudation – 2020 Edition, organized by SPECO (Portuguese Society of Ecology). During this edition, the SPECO received 19 eligible applications from different proveniences, namely PhD theses defended at the Universities of Aveiro, Algarve, Coimbra, Évora, Lisbon, Minho, Nova de Lisboa, and Porto. The work of Jacinto Benhadi Marín was developed at CIMO-IPB and addressed the thematic of biological control focusing on the potential role of spiders as natural enemies in the olive grove agroecosystem. The award ceremony will take place at the School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo during the 19th National Ecology Meeting (9-11 December), coinciding this year with the 25th anniversary of the Portuguese Society of Ecology.
