CIMO-IPB in cooperation with the Agriculture School of IPB (ESA-IPB) and the Portuguese Society of Forestry Sciences (SPCF) have organized the Seminar “Rural Fires” that was held in Bragança and Valpaços last 23-24 January 2020, and accounted with 350 participants from different regions of Portugal and Spain. The discussed topics included: National Plan for the Integrated Management of Rural Fires; Portuguese and Spanish Fire Prevention and Combat; Operational Forces and Civil Protection System; Scientific Research and Training; Climate Change and Spatial Planning; Support for Prevention/Combat and Recovery of Post-fire Areas; and the Role of Media in Rural Fires Problematics.
