CIMO-IPB/CEDRI-IPB have registered the software DEEPWINGS® and the Mobile App Asian-Hornets

CIMO-IPB researchers in cooperation with CEDRI-IPB have registered the software DEEPWINGS® and the Mobile App Asian-Hornets. DEEPWINGS® program can be used to segment honey bee wings and identify, automatically, 19 wings landmarks with an accuracy of 97%, enabling subspecies classification. Asian-Hornets is a mobile App useful to classify insects through image analysis. Three types of insects (Honey bee, European wasp, and Asian wasp) can be identified with an average accuracy of 96%. DEEPWINGS® is a valuable tool for beekeeper researchers, while Asian-Hornets can serve beekeepers and the general population.
