The Honor Edition of the “Azeite Sta Apolónia - IPB”, made from olives
grown in the “Quinta do Pinheiro Manso” of the School of Agriculture
of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, has been awarded the Silver
medal in the “Los Angeles Extra Virgin Olive Oil Awards 2019”
competition. This olive oil is extracted from olives of the
traditional varieties “Cobrançosa”, “Madural” e “Verdeal Transmontana”
in the press of the company Olimontes with which CIMO researchers José
Alberto Pereira e Nuno Rodrigues have a long-lasting partnership for
