Description

These old and traditional buildings have singular characteristics in their constructive aspects, mainly as building materials, dimensions and its location. These features give these traditional buildings some interest as elements of local and regional heritage. The region of the work, extends over the areas of the natural park of the international Douro, and surrounding areas of the main rivers in the region: Douro, Côa, Sabor, Maças and Angueira. In this region, they were identified 797 dovecots, 474 curriças and 111 watermills. Each of these old buildings, they were studied and evaluated their conservation status.
