The International Conference on Predictive Modelling in Food (ICPMF) is an international biannual conference whose mission is to catalyse the development of predictive modelling in foods to support stakeholders, risk assessors and governmental authorities. CIMO researchers Ursula Gonzales-Barron and Vasco Cadavez were successful in their bid to bring the 11th edition of ICPMF to IPB. These conferences, which reunite world’s class food safety modellers, have been organised since 1992 in the USA, Australia, Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Brazil and Spain, and will be next hosted in Portugal (Bragança) in 2019. Ursula Gonzales-Barron has also been appointed as a Member of the International Committee on Predictive Modelling in Food, a subcommittee of The International Committee on Food Microbiology and Hygiene (ICFMH), until 2027.
